Join us for a two-day professional learning experience specifically designed for athletic directors seeking renewal of their evaluator approval certification. This course fulfills the Iowa Department of Education requirement for continued evaluation of interscholastic coaches following initial certification. The focus is on equipping ADs with national best practices for evaluating coaching performance, aligned with the National Standards for Sport Coaches (NSSC).

This course is highly recommended for all current ADs evaluating coaches, as it blends national leadership standards with practical tools for local implementation. Attendees will leave with strategies, templates, and a completed project for their districts.
Workshop Details
The Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association will offer an Evaluator Approval Courses for One Credit Hour of License Renewal Credit through Heartland AEA and the they will be certified by the Iowa Department of Education (DE) and the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE).
This course is designed for athletic administrators and it is the first of its kind in the State of Iowa.
- The class requires 15 hours of contact time for 1 hour of License Renewal (LRC) Credit.
- This course will feature Leadership Training Institute (LTI) Instructional Materials from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Professional Development Academy.
*Course I: LTC 707: Improvement of Athletic Programs and Personnel Assessment and LTC 723: Administration of Professional Growth Programs for Interscholastic Athletic Personnel will be completed as part of this course. - Along with the LTC Courses, participants will be asked to take part in small group/panel discussions and you will be expected to create or modify an evaluation tool that may be used in their schools.

Any member registering for LTI classes must be in attendance within the first 15 minutes of class starting to receive credit. If a member is not in attendance by the 15 minute mark, no credit will be given per NIAAA rules.

When you arrive at the website, please check to see if your name is listed under the Quick Links heading in the left column. If it is, you are already logged in. If not, click on the yellow Sign In button. Your AEA Login is the same email and password you use to log into the AEA Learning System (e.g. Mandatory Reporter, Bloodborne Pathogens). If you don't have an account in the Learning System, you will need to click on "Need a profile? Sign Up" at the bottom of the login screen.
Registration:
Once you have logged in and are on the Home screen, in the text box under Ready to Learn? You may search by topic, subject area, presenter name, etc., type 54159 and click Search. Scroll to the bottom and select the credit type you would like to register for. At the top of the page, click the Register button. This will add the course to your Registration Cart.
Once you have the course in your Registration Cart, click Checkout at the bottom. Review the Cancellation and Refund Policy and select your payment method (credit card or purchase order issued by an Iowa school district). Complete the necessary payment information and select Complete Checkout. You will receive a confirmation email after you register.
